All Good Things Must Come to an End

"Priviliged" is the word that comes to my mind, when I think back, priviliged that I was able to make this wonderful journey, all the while being treated nicely (with the notable exception of the tourist torturers...). One thing I can say for sure - I would like to return one day to Morocco! Shukhram for everything!

This is what I saw of this country in 14 days of riding:

Map

Here you have a link to this map, it says 1,476 kilometers in 13 days of biking (from this we have to subtract 30 km by taxi and 40 km by bus, however, I am sure I made up that much by cirling around in the towns between hotels, restaurants, sights, medinas, etc, so close to 1,500 km sounds about right),somewhere over 12,000 meters of altitude gain (and a few hundred meters less of loss, as I started at the sea and finished in Marrakesh with 450m). From these 1,500 kilometers, at least 1,400 were really enjoyable and about half of these had a once-in-a-lifetime feeling to it.

If you have read so far, or are reading just this page, my recommendation to you is to pack up - and see Morocco for yourself!!!
