Frontline
My goal on this day was to make up for the hours spent on the bad road the previous day and make good progress in consuming those miles.
In the morning I visited an impressive orthodox church in Drvar.
The ride out of town could have been in the forests around Vienna, 30 km later or so, I got to scenery like in the Bible Belt of the United States, barren landscape, no shade whatsoever to fend me off the heatr..
Some other bad memories: you have road signs, in Latin and Cyrillic letters and on almost all the signs, the Cyrillic was crossed out or simply painted black..
Passing a large artificial lake called Lake Busko, it was yet again an uphill battle, and a battle it was, as the road was being constructed, so it was all gravel.
Finally, I ended in Tomislavgrad, yet again having a good motel for a great price. As usual in Bosnia, the town was in full motion, the hotel where I first went to was booked out due to a large wedding.
It was quite a good biking day, I covered some 150 kilometers - so while I do not exactly remember, I guess I must have slept really well.
