Day 28 – Tuesday, September 2, 2025
We spent the entire day at sea. We had moored at the Greek town of Missolonghi in the middle of the night; I only noticed because we were not moving.
By sunrise, we were already in Albanian waters. By sunset, I believe we were near the coast of Italy.

The Chinese text was funny
There was one notable – and unfortunate – event. A medical emergency involving an elderly gentleman required us to stop briefly near the coast of Brindisi. An emergency fast boat docked alongside to fetch him.

In the middle of the night, I chatted with a steward who wanted to hear all about my trip – how I planned it, where I had slept, everything. I shared a lot of my experiences, and he even helped me create a big piece of paper that read “Vienna,” hoping to hitch-hike along the way.
