Day 8

The combined effect of the previous two days and the unpleasant conditions due to the forest fires meant shorter riding for the following day, I got to a place called Tok, having covered only around 100 kilometers. It probably was on this day that Highway 1 was being renovated and I found was really tough gravel to ride on. With my sleek wheels, this was close to a mission impossible. A road worker saw me, jumped in his truck and told me he would ride me to the top of the hill, very nice gesture, thanks!
