Getting ready

WizzAir, a Hungarian low-cost carrier, turned out to be the cheapest option for the trip, it was around €150 for a one-way trip there, "there" meaning the town of Kutaisi, not the highlight of the country but it was a good place to start the trip. After purchasing the ticket, I got my large-size backpack and filled it up to the brink.

That is about all that you need - no visa, no vaccination, no special preparation - so I was soon headed for the airport.
